Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Payroll Executive to manage and oversee the payroll operations within our organization. The role will focus on processing employee payments, ensuring all deductions and withholdings are applied correctly. Additionally, the Payroll Executive will maintain payroll records, prepare necessary accounting schedules, and support other accounting-related tasks.

Key Responsibility Areas:

    • Collaborate effectively with the payroll vendor and HR team to ensure smooth payroll operations.
    • Accurately calculate employee net salaries, factoring in applicable deductions and withholdings.
    • Ensure all payroll and tax-related documents are accurate and compliant with regulations.
    • Update the general ledger and maintain payroll files.
    • Prepare and organize payroll records, accounting files, and payroll schedules.
    • Monitor employee leave balances, including paid and unpaid leave.
    • Perform monthly statutory reconciliations for ESI, PF, and PT.
    • Track and update changes to minimum wage laws across states on a monthly basis.
    • Calculate gratuity for eligible employees, as required.
    • Process overtime payments and holiday deductions.
    • Address and resolve payroll discrepancies, such as overlooked bank holidays or delayed payments.
    • Participate in payroll audits to ensure compliance and accuracy.
    • Ensure adherence to government regulations concerning payroll accounting and taxes.
    • Maintain zero-error payroll processing and ensure timely disbursement of salaries.
    • Prepare and share monthly payroll reports with management.

Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
    • 4-5 years of experience in end-to-end payroll management or a similar role.
    • Strong understanding of local and governmental payroll regulations and tax laws.
    • Excellent mathematical skills with a deep knowledge of payroll systems and taxation.
    • Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel.
    • Strong computational skills with high attention to detail.
    • Ability to effectively coordinate with multiple stakeholders to ensure smooth operations.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
